What this is
LooksRatio measures a photograph of a face and scores those measurements against published proportion ideals. It is a geometry tool. It is not a medical device, it is not a diagnosis, and nothing it produces is medical, dental, surgical or psychological advice. Do not make a decision about a procedure on the strength of a number from this site. Speak to a qualified practitioner.
The scores are opinions expressed as numbers. They come from measurements that are real and repeatable, compared against ideals drawn from published research, and neither of those makes a score a fact about how anyone looks. The site tells you what each measurement is and what it was compared against precisely so you can disagree with it.
Your account
You need to be 13 or older to make an account, and old enough where you live to agree to terms of use. Keep your password to yourself; anyone who has it can see everything in your account. Tell us if you think somebody else is using it.
Whose face you may upload
Upload your own face, or the face of somebody who has asked you to and knows what for. Do not upload a photograph of anyone who has not agreed to it, of anyone under 13, or of anyone you are trying to rate, rank, compare or embarrass without their knowledge. This is the one rule here that we will close an account over.
Photographs and measurements
Measurement happens in your browser. The photograph is analysed on your own device and the landmark model runs there, not on a server.
If you have an account and photo storage is switched on, your photographs and the landmark mesh taken from them are also uploaded and stored, so that a saved scan can be opened on another device and still show the face it was measured on. That storage is optional, it is off for anyone who is not signed in, and you can switch it off or delete everything already stored from your account settings at any time. What that means in detail, and how long anything is kept, is in the privacy notice, which is part of these terms.
Your photographs stay yours. Uploading one gives us permission to store it and to show it back to you, and nothing else. We do not use it to train models, we do not publish it, and we do not sell it or hand it to advertisers.
Paying
Some of the report is paid: the improvement plan, Future Potential, the procedure tier, the full side profile and the PDF. Your score, the four pillars and all twenty-two measurements are free and stay free. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details.
A subscription renews until you cancel it, and you can cancel at any time from your account. A one-time report unlock buys that one report and does not expire. If something goes wrong with a payment, contact us and we will sort it out.
Ending it
You can delete your account whenever you like, and doing so deletes your scans and your photographs. We may close an account that uploads other people's faces, that tries to break or overload the service, or that uses it to harass somebody.
The boring part
The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, that every measurement is accurate, or that it is fit for any particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of what it tells you.
If we change these terms in a way that matters, the version at the top of this page changes and you will be asked to accept the new one. Small corrections do not.
